Help on Searching NIJ Publications

Title - Full and partial-text searches of the publication title only. Do not use operators (i.e.: and, or, not).

Author - Full and partial-text searches of the publication's author names only. Do not use operators (i.e.: and, or, not).

Topic - Search for publications in one or more topic. Selecting a topic category (in bold) will automatically select all the associated sub-topics, or you may select sub-topics directly without selecting a topic category. Using the radio buttons, select "AND" to display results which are tagged with all selected topics; select "OR" to display results with any of the selected topics.

Keyword - Use this field to search on a publication's content. The search engine will search publications in different formats such as HTML, PDF (Adobe Acrobat) and ASCII (plain text) documents and returns the titles of the documents that contain the word(s) you typed. You can then view a document by clicking on a link to the file format you prefer.

Date Range - Use this field to search for publications published between two dates. Enter dates in the format "mm/yyyy." This is the date the publications were published.
